About us

Chayil Couture

A husband-and-wife home studio in Swindon — Ekuba on the seam, Gareth on the admin, and the workflow software they wished they had.

Who we are

Chayil Couture is a husband-and-wife home studio in Swindon. Ekuba is the seamstress — bespoke wedding and occasion wear, bridal alterations, traditional African dress. Gareth runs everything that isn’t the sewing: enquiries, bookings, quotes, invoices, customer follow-ups. The work is fitting-heavy: each garment goes through enquiry, consultation, quote, multiple fittings, and a final collection. Customers come with deadlines that matter — weddings, christenings, milestone birthdays — and expect considered, careful communication from a studio they already trust.

How StudioOps started

The point of StudioOps is to give a studio its working day back, and to give the studio’s customers a smoother experience along with it. Time that used to go on chasing enquiries through Instagram, rebuilding quotes from scratch, and remembering which customer was waiting for which balance now sits in one view, ready when needed. The admin side of the studio looks as professional as the work itself — and brides feel looked after, not chased.

That wasn’t how things ran before. Even a busy, well-loved home studio ran on five different tools at once. Enquiries arrived in Instagram and WhatsApp. Bookings landed in a separate calendar. Quotes were rebuilt every time. Notes lived in a paper notebook. Every customer was a small project with its own timeline, and keeping all of it straight took a disproportionate amount of energy that should have gone into the work itself.

StudioOps was built from the inside of Chayil Couture rather than for a hypothetical studio. Real wedding dates, real fabric, real customers — the only fair test of whether a feature earns its place.

The work it has to handle

  • Bespoke wedding dresses
  • Bridal alterations
  • Occasion and formal wear
  • General dress alterations
  • Traditional and African garments
  • Multi-fitting customer journeys

What changed

Replies go out faster. Quotes look as professional as the dress. Balances don’t get forgotten. Gareth knows what’s on this week, this month, and the next wedding season without rummaging through a phone. Ekuba can keep her hands on the work.

For brides and customers, it shows. They feel looked after, not chased. They have one place to see their bookings, their quote, and their fittings — and they know where they are at every step. The studio looks composed and organised because it is.

The mechanism behind it: enquiries land in one inbox with AI-drafted replies ready to send by Telegram. Customers book from a public link that respects the studio’s buffers and closed days. Each customer has a private space to manage their bookings and see their quote. Quotes are itemised, branded, and accepted online. Invoices route through Square; deposits and balances reconcile automatically.
